What Is Lackey Virtual Care?
Lackey Virtual Care is a 24/7 online diagnosis and treatment service to help those with common medical conditions.
Instead of trying to book an appointment that works with both your busy schedule and your doctor’s office, Lackey Virtual Care gives you the power to start the process whenever YOU want to and gives you DIRECT ACCESS to your provider.
It is powered by our partnership with Zipnosis, who created the platform.
Do I Need an Appointment?
No appointment needed! You can start your online visit at anytime from anywhere in Virginia.
How Does It Work?
Symptoms
Start a visit anytime by interacting with an online program, which based on your answers asks follow-up questions specific to your symptoms. This helps us better understand what you are experiencing. (Note: You will need a valid email address.)
Diagnosis
Next, one of our licensed providers will review your symptoms, and either make a diagnosis and treatment plan or ask for more information. You can expect a response from our provider within 4 hours during our business hours (Monday–Thursday: 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. | Friday: 8:30 a.m.–Noon ).
Prescription When Needed
If a prescription is given, you will be able to choose the pharmacy where you would like your prescription sent. Note: Lackey Virtual Care cannot provide prescriptions for controlled substances.
Who Is This For, and When Should I Use This?
Lackey Virtual Care is for anyone age 18 years or older who lives in Virginia.
If you are experiencing any of the following life-threatening conditions, please call 911 immediately or visit the closest Emergency Department: Severe Pain, Possible Heart Condition, Serious Injury, Possible Poisoning, Altered Level of Consciousness, Trouble Breathing
If you are not experiencing one of the above conditions, you can use Lackey Virtual Care at any time.
OK, But How Much Does It Cost?
Online visits are normally $25, but they are free for a limited time through the generosity of our Lackey Clinic Family. Thanks to the support of our donors to cover our costs, we are able to provide you with quality care that also saves you time and money. At Lackey Clinic, our mission is “to provide skilled, compassionate healthcare and counseling to the medically disadvantaged in a manner that honors the name of Jesus Christ.” We want to expand the impact of our mission by providing better healthcare access for more people and hopefully improving their health outcomes!
Do I Have to Be a Patient at Lackey Clinic?
This service is available to BOTH our current patients at the Clinic and people who are not our patients. You do not have to be a patient at Lackey Clinic to use this service, however, if you are interested in becoming a patient, we would love to have you apply! There are two other ways you can become a patient at Lackey Clinic.

Who We Are
Lackey Clinic is a faith-based nonprofit providing free and charitable healthcare to uninsured adults in Virginia. Our patients are the working class usually earning between $12-$25 an hour who earn too much to qualify for Virginia Medicaid but not enough to afford quality health insurance. We offer free medical care, dental care, eye care, free and low-cost prescriptions, behavioral health services, diabetic education, and spiritual care.
