Lackey clinic is a faith-based nonprofit providing free medical care to adults without medical insurance . Our patients are the working class who earn too much to qualify for Virginia Medicaid but not enough to afford quality dental insurance, usually earning between $10-$25 an hour.

The Lackey Clinic offers free virtual urgent care in Virginia for adults who have an urgent medical or dental need.  You can book your video appointment with a board-certified doctor from the comfort of your home of office by using your laptop or smart phone.

However, don’t count on any virtual service for immediate medical attention. Instead, emergency services should be called, or an emergency room visited in the event of a severe or life-threatening medical condition.

No. Virtual healthcare is intended for non-life-threatening conditions. You shouldn’t use this service if you’re in the middle of a severe health crisis. Please call 911 if you are in a life-threatening emergency. A virtual doctor’s visit cannot replace going to the clinic or ER, but it can be used in place of an urgent care or emergency room visit when necessary.

Suppose your doctor thinks you need medication during an urgent care virtual visit. A healthcare provider (through telemedicine services) should be able to send a prescription to the pharmacy of your choice if they feel it is necessary.  Lackey Clinic will not prescribe controlled substances.
