Services We Provide

Lackey Clinic provides the following services for low-income, uninsured adults in the Virginia Peninsula:

Primary and Specialty Medical Care | Dental Care | Better Vision Eye Care | Free and Low-Cost Medications | Behavioral Health Counseling | Telehealth Services | Spiritual Care

Services NOT Available

Chronic Pain Management | Pre-natal Care | Substance Abuse Treatment | Treatment for Severe Mental Illness | Disability physicals and Workmen’s Compensation physicals

The following medications are NOT provided: Controlled substances (including but not limited to narcotics and sleeping pills) or birth control

Eligibility Requirements

If you make between $8.50-$20/hour, you may qualify to become a patient. Your yearly income must be between 139% to 300% of poverty level (US Citizens) to qualify. Below 139% of poverty level qualifies for Medicaid.
You must have no medical insurance.
You must be 18 years of age or older.
Patients must live in our service area which includes: Newport News, Williamsburg/James City County, York County, and Poquoson.
You must not be eligible for Medicare or Medicaid or Veteran’s Benefits.
You must have lived in the US for at least ONE continuous year.

  • New Patients: We are not having walk-in screenings, but we are still accepting online applications, which you can fill out above or you can contact us by calling Amber or Kristyn in the Eligibility Department at 757-886-0608 ext. 253. 
  • Current Patients: Please do not let your card expire. If your card is going to expire in the next 30 days, you must call Amber or Kristyn in the Eligibility Department at 757-886-0608 ext. 253.
It is the patient’s responsibility to have their Lackey Clinic Card renewed by the expiration date.
